A must listen: Phepson Angus presenting his Nuffield Farming report. It is all about the importance of focusing on the growth of the herd not the growth of the individual cow. Having a holistic mindset and look at the big picture!

This week Farming Today is talking rare breeds. Native English Longhorns cattle are in danger of heading back onto the RBST watchlist due to the majority of abattoirs stopping taking cows with horns! Took us a month to find an abattoir that would take some of ours

Beef cattle feeding on hay where bracken was cut in the summer. Well managed cattle make a positive contribution to the land; 5,100 trees and shrubs to plant this winter. A return to wood pasture. Beef is a highly nutritious food - never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Delivered two cattle to Long Compton abattoir on Wednesday, which could be my last visit. However hopefully not - read hear to find out how you can help save it longcomptonabattoir.co.uk #longcomptonabattoir #pastureforlife

We are about to plant another 30,000 trees - all in edges, hedges and cattle grazed landscapes The number of trees you can get in to a traditionally farmed landscape is unreal It’s not that hard if you want to, and use the non profitable bits of land and design it intelligently

I know predicting weather isn’t easy & contains random variables but seriously Met Office 3 different predictions of rain tomorrow at 15:00 for same location (website & app on 2 different devices)?! Wasn’t expecting how you access the forecast to be one of the random variables!
