As with most things related to govt response to Lockdown, Green Homes Grant sounded a good idea in principle but has turned into a debacle of epic proportions; from mixed messages at the stuttering start to auto-rejecting quotes as being to high bottlenecking installer payments.

The data will change drastically over the coming months as those installers who have been squeezed by the GHG fall away. At the beginning of the scheme announcement we knew dozens of installers involved, that's now down to single figures due to over subscription & late payments

For those who are struggling to get any sort of joy out of the #greenhomesgrant - it is definitely worth looking into schemes such as ECO (Energy Company Obligation) especially if you're a non-gas household. Martin Lewis
