#Mbuemo and #Cunha are good signings for #MUFC. They bring quality and work rate to an area that lacked both last season. But they also like to operate in the same inside channels where Bruno is most effective in the 3-4-2-1 system.

Often criticised for his lack of end product but his ability to carry to ball from deep and stretch a game could never be doubt. #Diaz was without doubt a key cog in #LFC’s success last season. 25 G/A in 50 appearances. 0.67 G/A per 90. A G/A every 134 minutes.

Brilliant flowing move, Spain hard to live with every time they speed up the play. England will have to come from behind again. #WEURO2025 #WEuroFinal

Brilliant insight from Chris in The Athletic 👏 Liverpool set to land a book profit of £48m from the sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich. Find it amazing that that not all clauses from his transfer from Porto in 2022 have been hit. nytimes.com/athletic/65202…

Excellent Community Shield. At times in the first half Liverpool looked unplayable without creating too many clear chances. Levels dropped in the second half. Palace, as they did last season defended well and were constant threat on the break. Penalties were deserved.

First 24 hours down and Reijnders and Ekitike look like really exciting additions to the Premier League. Looking forward to watching them this season.

Whatever Liverpool go on to achieve (or not achieve). The loss of Jota must always be remembered, that’s not to say it’s an excuse, but it is a fact.

United looking good in transition, Mbeumo and Cunha looking dangerous. They just can’t get any control over the game in midfield.

Down at Dunley Way for Lutterworth Town FC v Aylestone Park FC in the UCL Premier Division South. Far from a classic, but a gritty 2-1 win for the visitors, with the hosts spending a little too much energy on the ref instead of the game. Non-League Volunteers The Non-League Paper
