Try and see these little moments for what they are, requests for love. How your partner wants to be loved can vary. Saying “I love you,” though nice to hear, is not always the way that they need to be loved at the moment.

When there's no scope for healthy communication, a gap arises and it escalates with time. Communication must be in the forefront, no matter how big are the arguments ! By clarifying each other and their actions, relation can be restored.
