PRIMARY CARE /GPs /Community teams across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board have been immense this last week (as usual I know). Media focus has been on hospitals but community risk is so high. Huge amount of effort to keep patients cared for and treated at home. 🙏🙏🌟

1.4million people a day have an appt with GP practices
70% Face to Face 980000
2019 1.2m 90% F2F = 1080000
So 200000 less F2F /day
But 200000 more appts a day
There are also less GPs 2000 fewer than 2015 when the Government promised 5000 more now

Wrong. Covid can and does kill. It may lead to long-term health problems (long covid) and there’s growing evidence that repeated infections damage the immune system and make you vulnerable to other infections. It’s now endemic but public health needs to acknowledge and fight it.
