Yesterday, my brother and colleague, Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, joined me to flag-off a Public-Private Partnership Project to develop the new Kaura City and the construction of a 2.8-kilometre Dual Carriageway that will link to the Bauchi—Jos and Bauchi—Gombe roads.

Bauchi State is doing well, and we will continue to do more to fight the limitations caused by #COVID19. We are taking the vaccination drive very seriously, and this why we are currently #2 in the country by percentage and #3 by total number of persons administered.

Today, at the 2021 Sallah Durbar held at the Government House Bauchi, I reaffirmed my administration’s readiness to protecting the integrity and values of traditional institutions in the State.

I also assured that my administration would continue to accord traditional and religious leaders to enable them to contribute positively towards the progress and development of the State.

At the same time, I acknowledged the outstanding contributions of traditional institutions to maintaining peace and security in the state.

Yesterday, I flagged off the commencement of the #COVID19 second dose vaccination campaign in the state.

Most importantly, I used the opportunity to thank our development partners, health workers, religious and traditional leaders for their synergy, support and collaboration in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

You may recall that Bauchi state achieved a milestone by reaching up to 84% of its eligible population during the administration of the 1st dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. #GreaterBauchi

Today, I received in audience, members of the The Nigerian Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I appreciated the committee for hosting the North East Zonal Public Hearing on the constitutional review in Bauchi and pledged to support them for the success of their assignment.

I also urged the committee to provide ground for all the stakeholders to enable them to contribute positively in achieving the set objectives. I am confident that the outcome of the hearing will assist in addressing the challenges facing the country.

On behalf of the government of Bauchi State, I wish our children across the state and Nigeria a Happy Children’s Day. But we must do more than talk, we must create a safe space for them to grow and study, and we are doing this in Bauchi State. #ChildrensDay2021

Before now, Bauchi State was known for the highest number of out-of-school children, but this has been upended since the start of my administration. We remain committed to empowering the young ones in our society because there is no sustainability plan without them.

Today, in commemoration of the second anniversary of my administration, I hosted orphans in the state to a special lunch.

Today, I received the sub-committee of the Nigeria House of Representatives on the Review of Nigeria's 1999 Constitution.

I just flagged off the commencement of flights with Aero Contractors from Bauchi State to Abuja. Bauchi-Abuja flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, making it four times weekly.
