Great to see two new soldiers at Govan this morning- welcome Natalie and Susan. The Band contributed Morley Calverts classic My All Is On The Altar.

RSA’s Harvest Praise from the Band this morning as we considered sowing His seeds for next years harvest. We were updated on plans to leave our hall in October for a year whilst refurbishment work is done.

We will leave our current building after our Songsters Centenary Weekend on 26,27,28 October- will be a great closure to this chapter of our Church history. Looking forward to the rest of the chapters!

Our look into the lessons to be learned from the book of Revelation continued as we considered what the Spirit said to the Church. Only RSAs arrangement of Spirit! Could fit the bill with a reminder of glorious melodies and lyrics from Generals Gowans and Larsson.

Terrific weekend celebrating our Songsters Centenary with guests Susanne Dynott, Dorothy Nanckieville and Fraser Ramsay and good to have our Territorial leaders too. We now leave our spiritual home of 100 years whilst the builders move in. Onwards to greater things.

As we considered Matthews Gospel and remembered the journey to Bethlehem the Band provided Les Condons beautiful arrangement of Away In A Manger, and good to see our Mercy Seat in our temporary home used.

Govan Band wish our friends across the world a richly blessed 2019. A year of flux for us in our temporary accommodation pending refurbishment of our own building. We will return there in 2020 (maybe earlier!)
