It's 30 years since The Holy Bible was released. I was working in Our Price and my colleague played it so often that I grew to adore it. He earnestly tried to explain the meaning of Revol over an entire lunchbreak. I told him it was just 'lover' backwards and he fell silent.

COMEDY NERDS. This is one of my all-time favourite moments from The Day Today, but can anyone tell me who in the TDT team wrote it? Also, whether they'd be willing to speak with me for five minutes, but we'll get to that...

Just seen two films in as many weeks where a character is reading Anatomy Of A Murder - A Hard Day's Night and The 39 Steps (1959) If there was any justice in the film version of Anatomy Of A Murder Jimmy Stewart should be reading John Buchan while listening to Meet The Beatles
