The Bruins have placed D Henri Jokiharju on IR and recalled D Michael Callahan from Providence. Jokiharju took a hard cross check to the back late in Friday’s loss to the Rangers.

Charlie McAvoy said he knew "he was in some trouble" right away after taking a slap shot to the face in Montreal. He had a linear fracture surgically repaired and has lost 20 pounds. He was told it was 6 weeks from the date of repairs before he'll be back on solid foods. #Bruins
