Happy birthday to Jean Piaget, whose pioneering work on constructivism—the idea that children actively create knowledge out of their experiences—continues to be relevant for many teachers and schools.

The leaders I've most admired always advised that when you go, make sure to leave something important behind. I'm thankful this week for all the messages...from teachers, from administrators...telling me that I followed that advice well. Be good, young administrators...it matters

Today, an amazing thing happened. My new team wrote the most important thing they look for in a team to build our norms. Content partners wrote the SAME word without even knowing the other one wrote it too. Now that’s being united 🦅❤️ @FEScomal @MissMGarcia3rd

Here’s a question every teacher, coach and parent should ask themselves: What’s the end game as I lead my students? My athletes? My kids?

Drawing what you're learning deepens understanding, and that won't change during distance learning. Have students draw -> take photos -> submit via email, your LMS, or your preferred tech tool. A piece I worked on some time ago for edutopia.

Problems with your students' Chromebooks? Do their screens go green when in Google Meets? Are they unable to access certain apps? If you have these tech issues, try clearing their Chromebooks "cache". In most cases, this easy fix works. #ITSolutions Check this video out:

Friends, please take time to understand this cancer. It took me 3 years for diagnosis, which is a short time compared to others, as it is easily confused with other illnesses. I am finally getting the help I need at MD Anderson and am incredibly grateful. Merry Christmas to all!
