UPDATE: Hey guys I know that I’ve been visibly absent from this account because I haven’t been dancing due to personal reasons and a knee injury that happpened 6 months ago BUT GOOD NEWS is I’ve trained my flexibility and body back into shape and I go back to the studio!!

Honestly that period put me into a really depressive state feeling pretty damn pathetic but nevertheless, even though I might be rusty upon my 1 year hiatus, I am beyond thrilled to know that I’ll be back at the studio doing what I love the most in a week!!💪🏼💕

Okay I have had just about enough of these dance shows and their unqualified judges. Being a singer or an actress who has had to learn a couple simple routines DOES NOT QUALIFY THEM TO JUDGE ANYONE. They have no grasp of technique or how difficult technical steps are.

Honestly the biggest rite of passage in my life was going from the person who gets told this to the person who says this to others “IF YOU CAN SEE THE AUDIENCE THE AUDIENCE CAN SEE YOU” #TheatreProblems

It’s one of those days where I lose and find myself in music and movement. Dance is so powerful. Period.

Just had a dance photo shoot with my studio and geez the girl next to me and geez she wouldn’t stop being such a diva!!

She kept bragging about how experienced of a model she is like ok girl we get it but can you at least try to be humble please and not lower other’s self esteems sighh! If only I was confident enough in speaking to confront her I would have!☹️❤️

So glad Misty Copeland brought up the gender associations within ballet in the US. I watched my brother, who loved both ballet and gymnastics, drop out because his peers teased him. Thankfully, he returned in high school. "I don't know why I let them talk me out of it."

Our hearts are broken in the wake of this senseless act of violence. The already small dance community lost one of our own yesterday. Jamie Gutenberg was a competitive dancer, a beautiful soul and a beautiful dancer. Sending love towards her studio and team today🧡
