I have walked away from a Wellington restaurant, quite obnoxiously tipsy & with a friend, without paying. We had been sitting outside, having a great chat. It was on Courtenay Place & we were halfway up Ghuznee to car on Terrace, before we realised in horror what we had done.

The absolute garbage I am now seeing in my Twitter feed. Stop acting like puberty blockers are being handed out like bloody lollies. It took years to finally get my trans child on them. It’s almost ridiculous how cautious they are to prescribe them.

Today’s job market combines the abusiveness of 1900s jobs and uselessness of 2000s jobs. Somebody will be like “I do growth onboarding for a cupcake company that has a compliment on every wrapper.” And you’ll be like “oh that sounds fun” and they’ll be like “actually they hit us”

So IRD just doesn’t answer phone calls at all now? It puts me thru the steps & then says “we are too busy for any calls at all” *disconnect. Is our income tax department now too cash strapped to put a queueing system on the phone system? Or did they get rid of everyone?

I will never forget: We spent a whole 8 mins at a dinner party. We get seated & one of the guest proudly announces that she'd just climbed Uluru. I told her how disrepectful I thought that was - it got fierce. I than said that we don't break bread with racist & we walked out.

I'm sick of the double standards that let men get away with everything, women with very little and Maori women with nothing. It's enraging and sickening, and really really unfair. 🤬

I hope Kerry Prendergast will be doing the media rounds tomorrow, condemning Mayor Brown for the foul-mouthed charity debate he took part in. Come on, Kerry, you had plenty to say about another mayor a day or two ago.

I read the comments. Never read the comments. (Also still very angry that Efeso Collins isn’t Mayor. Very disappointed in Auckland) Why do so many people not get why gangs exist? It’s not actually just to piss old white people off & do crime.

The number of replies to tweets like this with comments like “it was a roast. Can’t you take a joke?”. You’re staring the point right in the face, and you still can’t see it? It was never funny to many of us. Ever. Not in 1980. Not in 2023.
