You don’t always have to take out the whole endograft. Cut the fabric along with aorta and the graft becomes an internal pledget. You can also clamp the graft. Here I’m using one of my favorite clamps. If it’s infected, take the whole graft out(this isn’t infected) #AortaEd

Efficiency cannot be measured by volume alone. Patients becoming more complex but the tools we have are from the 1980s. No EHR and no electronic prescribing in almost every hospital. Disconnected lab systems with no single patient identification number. Glacial progress on IT.

A shortage of doctors doesn’t mean we should replace them with people who aren’t doctors. Find ways to allow more to study medicine. And more importantly, treat the doctors you do have well so that they stay!
