The ABC (and all journalists for that matter) are supposed to scrutinise and interrogate govt decisions not just fall in line. Despite Dutton’s bluster the questions this reporter asked do reflect the concerns of some Australians.

It’s easy for Dutton to speak down to a young female reporter, and take a whack at the ABC in the process. It’s much more difficult for Dutton to engage with the substance of the question when it exposes a glaring double standard.
