Many great grandmas have ASIO files for attending anti Vietnam War protests. Media wrote pearl-clutching opinion pieces of radical housewives in twin sets & sensible shoes, marching with students. Media & governments will always try to discredit changemakers to maintain control

A woman on CNN is saying the anti-Vietnam protests were different from the situation now, which is “very polarizing.”

People always do this — make it seem like past activists were somehow uncontroversial.

It’s nonsense. Activism by its nature is antagonistic to the status quo.

This is no game.
It's pro genocide or anti genocide.
It's pro apartheid or anti apartheid.
It's pro state violence or anti state violence.
It's pro fascism or anti fascism.
It's liberate Palestine, from the river to the sea!

Can’t wait for the president of Columbia University to tell my industry what’s good journalism at the Pulitzers next week. Try not to trip over any hogtied student journalists while collecting your award.

Last night, two Americans asked me where I'm from. I said The Philippines, and they immediately asked, 'how do you speak English so well? How did you learn English?' Usually I just ignore these things, but last night, I was very tired so I said...

ccny campus magazine livestream is genuinely incredible, they’re reading out police badge numbers + names and getting people in the chat to search complaints filed against them, then reading the complaints back out loud to the cops 😭
