We've signed an Open Letter📜calling on UK political parties to form a cross-party agreement on the responsible use of #GenerativeAI .

The letter has been signed by Electoral Reform Society Full Fact Wikimedia Foundation and more ⬇️

UK political parties should agree a code of conduct for using GenAI in elections:
1) Don't use AI generated materials to mislead voters
2) Be transparent when GenAI is used
3) Don't amplify misleading GenAI materials
4) Create clear guidelines

Political parties are by no means powerless & can play a role in protecting election integrity.

Alongside key partners we've issued an Open Letter calling on all UK political parties to form a cross-party agreement on their responsible use of generative AI ahead of the election.
