It's sloppy to say the gift of ETERNAL salvation can't be lost, being eternal. Even if you think it can't be lost, that can't be because it's eternal. See, if I give you an eternal helmet & you throw it away, it continues to be eternal wherever it is. But YOU no longer possess it
