My class has had voluntary “Face to Face Friday” via zoom the last three weeks. Attendance has increased every week. This defies logic. This shows me that students miss school and miss the classroom. They might not admit it, but they do.

A1: I take weekly notes of ss that haven’t logged into Canvas or emailed me. I then email them and tell them if they don’t contact me to let me know they are doing ok, I’m going to call them and make them talk to me. It seems to work pretty well. #TNCSSChat

A4: I have found ss that are doing the best with home instruction are those with supportive home environments and those that have a great relationship with the teacher. The later could be difficult to develop, depending on the timing of the interruption of classes. #TNCSSChat

A4: I will be working hard to become a Canvas guru. Being a 1:1 school has great benefits under these circumstances. Canvas is also great for those days when a teacher has to be absent. #TNCSSChat

Went to pick up my kids from Hal Henard School and kids were all over the campus, under close supervision, playing outside. Yelling and laughter echoed throughout the facility. Just one of a million things this school does correct. #playisessential
