I have repeatedly and earnestly said that we in the emergency department continuously feel we are set up to fail on a daily basis. Yesterday four separate calls to four separate hospitals to get a patient with a mental health crisis assessed,. This is bullshit.

Every shift I now find exhausting. Not because I'm old (even though I am) but rather that Canada's beloved health care "system" seems to set us up to fail with each and every patient encounter.

Or a map of available family doctors? Or a map of Emergency Departments that are open? - that would be REAL convenience: having an emergency department that I could just *know* is open 24/7
