#Caregivers are aware that they're tired, have gained weight, and/or have health problems. Instead, they need people to say/do something that relieves their stress. ✅"I'll cook a few meals for you” ✅"You're doing amazing” ✅"How can I help?” #caregiverburnout #caregiving

Do you agree with this?! Honestly, there's not such thing as 'enough reminders' when it comes to letting you know how incredibly amazing you are for doing what you do 💙 #caregivermotivation #caregivers

“Have you read stories and gotten terrified of the future? You are not alone. I hear it all the time. Truth is, no 2 people's experience is the same. While you may face some challenging behaviors, it doesn't mean you'll face them all.” — Krista Montague #dementia #caregivers

Don't let your mind tell you otherwise. No matter in which state of your life (and your loved one's journey) you are, you will make it through. You always do, even when it doesn't feel like it. Sending you so much love 💙 #caregiverburnout #caregiving

You're doing the most important and demanding job that there is: taking care of someone and, to some extent, being responsible for their well-being. THAT'S DOING A LOT. Give yourself the credit AND the rest you deserve every day 💙 #rcaregiving #caregiverburnout #mentalhealth

There's no such thing as 'too late'. Any exercise can be adapted to your loved one. Even if they can only raise a stuffed animal 3 times with both arms, they MUST do it every day. It's better than nothing! 💪 #physicaldecline #cognitivedecline

Please know you deserve to be held and seen, you deserve to acknowledge when you feel hopeless or scared and have someone there for you to at least give you a silent hug, or someone to delegate your tasks for a bit until you recharge and go back to your center💙 #care #selfcare

Why is a blood test such good news when it comes to diagnosing Alzheimer’s? Its lower cost, more accessible, and far less invasive than other tools we have so far. #alzheimers

You mean everything to your loved one. Even if they can't express it or if they find it hard to show their feelings, they're thankful for having you in their life. They're grateful to life for giving them the opportunity of having YOU as their caregiver 💙 #caregiverburnout

No matter how hard can be, you must prioritize yourself. But even if you know it’s necessary, doing it can feel unfamiliar or wrong. Cultivating a community that wants what you want for yourself can help you hold yourself accountable when putting yourself first 💙 #selfcare

📖 Fact: Auguste Deter suffered from hallucinations, delusions, and the INABILITY to generate MEMORIES. It was the FIRST documented CASE of #ALZHEIMER, in 1850. We did not have more cases until 1980.

Affirmation for when you are feeling down or burned out. Never forget to ask for help, because it doesn't make you weak, it's actually strong to admit it and delegate before you "run out of battery". Sometimes the least expected people will show up for you 💙 #caregiverburnout
