Myself and the rest of National Energy Action have been campaigning for this for years. Lots of hard work gone into it. Excellent to see, finally. The poorest people should not pay more for their energy.

The first energy fix in recent times has launched (an Ovo existing customer deal) - more due imminently. Is it worth considering? My quick analysis... Feel free to share with anyone interested.

Energy efficiency was always the weakest part of the ‘Green Day’ package. Government policy and funding on this front remains chronically underpowered and the obvious opportunity to respond to soaring energy bills has been squandered. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Energy bills may go down in July, but the typical bill is still estimated to be around £2,000 a year. Our head of policy Matt Copeland tells The Independent that they are still unaffordable for many. bit.ly/3MyyGaB

The Energy Bills Support Scheme was a lifeline for many during winter. If you didn't redeem yours or didn't receive them, contact your supplier to get them reissued. The deadline to use the vouchers is the end of June. #EnergyBills

Our adviser Shelly received this lovely feedback after working with a supplier to get a £1,506 debt paid off. The client said, 'I am so overwhelmed Shelly at such a huge amount, I was in tears. A lot of tears. You deserve a medal.'

Last week's #PriceCap announcement indicated #EnergyBills are going down from July. But, the government's £400 support payments have stopped. In real terms, you will be paying around the same.

This week is #CarersWeek. Carers are disproportionately at risk of #FuelPoverty as their responsibilities mean they are often unable to earn extra money. Their households may be higher energy users.
