Parliament in a nutshell: Yesterday MPs, including Yvette Cooper, celebrated the suffragette legacy of civil disobedience that won women the right to vote.. Only to then vote to designate non-violent direct action group Palestine Action as terrorists. Westminster is broken.

We've seen several revivals of Jesus Christ Superstar over the last 50 years that it may feel like nothing more could be done with. Now, as for the Watermill production? Run don't walk to see it. You'll find out why tomorrow.

The Reverend Sue Parfitt, an 83-year-old retired Anglican priest from Bristol, was among 20 people arrested in London today "on suspicion" of supporting Palestine Action. Am I allowed to say she's a hero, or is that banned too? She's a hero. Please share if you agree.

This is what Britain has come to. You can be arrested and imprisoned for expressing an opinion about a group leading non-violent protest against genocide.

This is a good column but doesn't really answer the question in the headline. Maybe the rich, like the zionists carry such a big stick that timid politicians end up just cosplaying social democracy rather than doing anything real theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Often wonder how the ALP could ever have elected this nasty, brooding, vengeful bigot as leader in 2003. Even if these allegations are untrue, he would have to be one of the most odious characters in recent political history smh.com.au/politics/nsw/m…

A new industrial revolution? It's hard for Australia to export our abundant solar/wind power but easy to use that power in manufacturing things like iron here and export them to countries lacking renewable energy sources Anthony Albanese is talking this up in China smh.com.au/politics/feder…

The American political freak show is damaging Trump's rightwing surrogates elsewhere: Dutton in Australia, Poilievreare in Canada, and now Bolsonaro in Brazil, losing popular support as people turn against US bullying. Let's see if Farage lasts the distance.

Feinstein stood last time and shaved thousands off Starmer's majority (overlooked in the general election victory hoopla). Starmer lacks deep roots in the area, unlike Corbyn in Islington, and letters to the local paper show he's disliked, and may well lose his seat next time.

STANDING UP AGAINST GENOCIDE‼️ Dancer Danni Perry raised a Palestine flag at the Royal Opera House. Director Oliver Mears told him "You will never work at the opera house again." I told him— "I don't give a flying fuck."

When I voted 1. Labor in 2022, I thought I was voting for this Anthony Albanese. Instead, I'd voted for another guy, one who would defend & justify the genocide of Palestinians by Israel & work damn hard to crush any & all opposition to that genocide. That will be your legacy, Tony. 🖕
