We love a bit of local history. Like a lot of The Lake District, Dubs Hut has a rich history, steeped in illicit whiskey making. George Fisher also spent time working on the building with the Keswick Mountaineering Club to get it back to a usable condition.

Beautiful rime ice on Helvellyn's Trig Point. Not obvious on the pic, but there was lots of ice on the summit plateau's ground making walking in the 60+ mph gusts more challenging - especially with the wind blowing you towards the edge!
