Claude's biggest moat is that most coding tools are built for it, and this often leads to AI tools struggling or not working at all with other providers. Cases in point: Opencode cc dax & Avante. Great OSS tools that mostly don't work with OSS models.

Everyone builds for claude so all other providers end up breaking in various ways. The problem is the app layer, not the models.
