Back in the late 80's the now FedEx St. Jude Championship was in trouble. The event did not have a title sponsor and looked like it was done... But Fred Smith stepped up and put TPC Southwind on the map. Tournament Director Joe Tomek says 40 years later he is thankful for all Fred did.
