It tickles me that people think that postboxes are changed when the monarch dies. You've probably been posting letters in postboxes with old cyphers your whole life withoit noticing! Any English boxes without cyphers btw are Victorian 'anonymous' boxes #PostboxSaturday

One of the memorial stamps issued for Queen Elizabeth II features a portrait by Cecil Beaton from 1968. All the images in this special set were first used in the Golden Jubilee stamps in 2002.

The first letters have been franked with the new cypher of The King in the Court Post Office at Buckingham Palace today. 📮 The cypher is the Monarch’s monogram, consisting of the initial of their name combined with an ‘R’ for Rex (Latin for King) or Regina (Latin for Queen).

We are proud to unveil the first official coin portrait of King Charles III which has been designed by Martin Jennings FRSS and personally approved by His Majesty. The first coins to feature the effigy are part of a memorial collection for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
