Christianity literally teaches us to help those in need, not merely to pray for them. So, the Christian response is to pray for him AND to build him a mechanical arm. Science can't even justify why you *should* build the arm. It just helps you do it after you decide to.

Whatever you do, pray for the ability to see your own sins, your own hypocrisy, and your own shortcomings. Never lose sight of that. Never get so carried away, pointing fingers that you forget you, too, have abscesses that need tending.
