I had a lot of fun co-leading our new hort graduate student tour to research stations and commercial farms around Michigan over the past few days. We covered apples, pears, cherries, grapes, peaches, blueberries, cranberries, asparagus, squash, pickling cucumbers, and tomatoes!

Thanks to Scott Lukas Oregon State Extension Service for inviting me to talk about Michael Gasdick’s work on “delayed harvest” in blueberry at the OSU Blueberry Field Day. I learned about some tech advances for the industry, and tasted a lot of berries from OSU’s breeding program. Fun day!
