Today I started my new role with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS FT Looking forward to lots of new learning opportunities.

It’s so important that we as AHP living with disabilities or long term conditions support with this. I truly believe I’m the clinician that I am because of my lived experience!! Looking forward to discussing this further Alice Gair

Time really does go so fast. Having watched the video below, I do wonder what we would have said to ourselves if this were a possibility!!!

Harry is 18 today, he is my youngest son. He is an amazing example of someone who found such power in occupation in the form of music. He was very shy, quiet and quite anxious. Self taught over about 2years, I just love watching him!!

Happy #AlliedHealthProfessionals day to all my wonderful AHP family. Working in primary care is such a wonderful opportunity but it is very autonomous and can be lonely at times. I so value the support and guidance I get from fellow AHPs most of which is virtual.

I had 3 days AL booked for this week. So, on Thurs last week I booked a little trip for me and my husband. We’ve been together 20 years and we’ve never been abroad before, so our little trip to Marrakech was an absolute tonic. Tomorrow is not a given, enjoy today 😍

I am sorry if this is in any way offensive, but today is 25 years since my first husband died by suicide. While his friends may grieve him I have spent 25 years supporting and bringing up his children. I have seen first hand the damage that trauma causes, it is still hard.

I’ve not experienced Burn Out until very recently. It’s awful, particularly when those around me said they could see it happening before I had any idea.
