Spring arrived and in typical Pacific Northwest fashion teased us with some almost summer like days! It's ok though - it is fine to plant many things in the garden right now. Onions do best when planted now so they have time to grow luxurious tops that can support luscious bulbs.

Dry soil is part of a northwest summer! Mulch your soil to conserve water, keep roots cool and keep those pesky weeds down that appreciate conditions our more beloved plants do not. In your veggie garden this can be as simple as chopping and dropping from your harvests.
