Chatted to a couple keepers this week. Brilliant at what they do. In truth game and shooting didn’t even come up. We talked about Barn Owls, Soil, Hares, water for waders and climate. Great credit to their profession. Huge gains. Shooting v eco twitter not been great lately.

Gamekeeper looking after the wildlife, usually it goes unnoticed and is not commented on. Well done Adam and all keepers who quietly go about improving bio-diversity in the UK

Amazing how well ‘brood meddling’ is working for curlew as well as hen harriers. Gamekeepers and shooting estates delivering, whilst RSPB fails to deliver telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/12/1…

Just been watching a few birds getting some territory sorted out and this #disruption #dogs should be on leads. Hard work being done by farmers/keepers very often being undone by ignorance

It is so frustrating when farmers, keepers and land managers work so hard to create and manage habitats to increase biodiversity on farms, but the general public continually won't stay on the footpaths (way off a footpath here) and let their dogs roam free which disturbs wildlife

Interesting program on Channel 4 now from NZ. They are trapping and eliminating predators to increase endangered species. Some have increased by 500%. UK needs to take note.
