This week, total retail sales of Mario Kart World in Japan surpassed those of the original Wii U release of Mario Kart 8. It's currently the 7th best selling Mario Kart game in Japan, also above the Super Circuit and Double Dash!!

A Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon Legends Z-A bundle will release in Japan alongside the game on October 16th. Same price as the Mario Kart bundle, interesting if by then Nintendo will replace it, they did say it was temporary.

Total sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan have surpassed those of the Xbox 360, 1.75m vs 1.61m. That's 9 years outdone in 7 weeks. Next up is the SEGA GameGear at 1.78m
