MSF & South Sudan Ministry of Health have resumed secondary level health services in Kajo Keji County Civil Hospital. The hospital, largely destroyed in conflict previously, has started to offer quality healthcare in maternity, emergency room, intensive care unit, surgery & internal medicine.

1/ MSF this morning airlifted 4 critically injured patients - including 2 local MSF International staff injured while off duty - from #Malakal to #Juba for further medical attention after an inter-communal conflict erupted in the Malakal Protection of Civilians Camp (PoC) yesterday morning.
Over 250,000 people have been recorded arriving in South Sudan from Sudan fleeing the conflict. As people arrive with alarming health conditions MSF International has been present in Renk and Bulakat in Upper Nile state to respond to the increasing health needs. ๐ Watch and share the video
In Ulang County, Upper Nile State, the MSF International Academy for Healthcare enrolled 53 new learners in its 18-month Basic Clinical Nursing Care training program. The aim ๐ strengthen the skills and competencies of healthcare workers, and have a long-term impact on the quality of care.
Since April 2023, 501 cases of hepatitis E have been treated at the MSF International hospital in Old Fangak, Jonglei State, and 21 people have died. We are responding to the deadly hepatitis E outbreak. By June 2024, we aim to have vaccinated 12,776 women & girls, who are at greatest risk.
