Let's start with the pitchers..... Gianna Adams, Pittston Area Athletics: Arguably, she's the best pitcher in the state. She's the two-time reigning Class 5A pitcher of the year. She was 15-2 last year, an ERA less than 1.00 and has 205 Ks.

Well, Gianna Adams of Pittston Area Athletics continues her streak. She throws a five-inning perfect game with 11 Ks in a win over Crestwood today. For those keeping track.... 4 games into the season. 2 perfect games. 2 no-hitters. 52 Ks. Only 2 walks. Special. No other words needed

Also, sometimes, it's everyone else's reaction to seeing Gianna Adams for the first time that's great. Took my mom to the game. After watching her strike out the 1st 12 batters? My mom: she is incredible. She's one of the best I've ever seen play. Wow. Again, special.

FINAL: Pittston Area 2, South Western 0. A lazy pop up to third sends Pittston Area back to the state championship game. A no-hitter with 10 Ks for Gianna Adams.

It was a great season for the Pittston Area Athletics. And following Gianna Adams for the last 4 years has been a honor and privilege. It was special to watch greatness. Thank you for the memories
