Friends- #StayHome means YOUR home. We all call Oregon home, but if you don’t live on the Coast you should not be on the Coast right now.

In the ER & ICU, we strive to give critically ill and dying patients a chance to be surrounded by loved ones. The lack of #PPE will rob us of this. These may not be stories that we hear in the news. But it’s tragic, and it’s already happening. / fin #GetMePPE #GetUsPPE

I’m calling on the Federal Government to nationalize the medical supply chain. The Federal Government should immediately use the Defense Production Act to order companies to make gowns, masks and gloves. Currently, states are competing against other states for supplies.

NY is doing everything we can to expand hospital capacity. We are asking all NYS hospitals to increase capacity by 100%—regulations have been waived. We are ordering that every hospital MUST increase capacity by at least 50%. Every hospital must do its part to expand capacity.

We cannot delay any longer. Governor Kate Brown, we need a statewide #StayAtHome order. The # of cities, counties, electeds, health care groups, joining me in pushing for this continues to grow. We remain hopeful you will act. But if not, I'm ready to act for Portland tomorrow.

The people who are out & about, reckless, NOT social distancing, NOT listening to city/county orders...are basically saying F YOU to the health care workers who are going weeks without a break to SAVE LIVES, while EXPOSING THEMSELVES & THEIR LOVED ONES. #coronavirus #covid19

Just introduced a bill with Sen. Tammy Baldwin to require an immediate government purchase order for 300 million N95 masks. I don't understand why @realdonaldtrump is dragging his feet, but I'm done waiting. Health care workers need help now. #GetMePPE theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

If you want fauci to stay in a position of authority, stop forcing him to counter trump in public. He will be pushed out. And you know it

This is remarkable: NYU’s medical school is allowing students to graduate *now*, three months early, to become interns and join the fight against coronavirus. (Email via a tipster.)

More help is on the way. As a council, we just unanimously approved $3M in emergency funding for our COVID-19 response. This money will be used for small business relief and the city's emergency response. @AmandaFritzRN Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty Commissioner Eudaly

Red Cross blood drives are being canceled throughout the country as more employees are asked to stay home. Yet, these donations are essential to the health of our community. You can still give if you are feeling healthy. Sign up with Red Cross Cascades at RedCrossBlood.org.

There are countless stories about Biden reaching out to people he barely knows, or does not know, to talk to them in the aftermath of loss. On the campaign trail, I watched him ask voters for their phone numbers so they could talk privately. nymag.com/intelligencer/…

We’ve now lost more New Jerseyans to #COVID19 than we lost in World War I, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, both Gulf Wars, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Superstorm Sandy, and 9-11 COMBINED. Take this seriously. Stay home. Save lives.
