I do think Trump is a threat to American democracy, but I accept that as arguable. The rest, yup. I hope his behavior doesn’t become normalized.

#Publishing is changing quickly with the advances of #AI. But there’s so many questions, developments-in-progress, and *mistakes*, I don’t get the push. Except, well, capitalism—if they don’t do it, someone else will, and we fear being left behind. substack.com/@abigailmonti/…

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Cor 5:14-15 (NIV) olivetree.com/votd/index.php…

I haven’t been paying attention to the moon launch, but I remember being a kid who saw the space missions as not only a US victory, but a human one. Lauren Jackson is right, this mission is what we need right now, a human redemption and victory story. nytimes.com/2026/04/05/bri…

We are so resistant to change, so convinced we have it all figured out. But do we? No, we don’t. ”It requires significant behavioral change — new rituals, habits and community. In short, conversion demands that people change their identities.” nytimes.com/2026/04/05/bri…

A great book, but with flaws. More African folktale than Marvel universe, in my opinion, but that's a good thing. This is my review of Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James. #BookReview #fantasy #literary gabrieldavidhu.com/review-of-blac…

Today was the first I heard that people think the em dash indicates AI. I love the em dash! It's annoying that people will think I'm a robot.

AIs aren't robots with a souls that care about us, they're programmed robots influencing our decisions in exactly the way the billionaires want them to. But it's so easy, we can't help but use it, knowing that we're giving up our autonomy and being lazy. Maybe we deserve it.

Great episode! And it’s encouraging hearing how people are researching how AI can transform occupations rather than replace them. #economy #AI Inside Today’s Labor Market: What Jobs Data & AI Are Really Telling Us (With Nela Richardson) podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/on-…

I’ll feel the pain of acquiring a vehicle soon, when my current lease expires, and I’ll be faced with the bad-to-worse options available to all who are not upper-middle class. Sure wish government would stop catering to those who don’t need the help. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

Trump’s war with Iran funds Putin’s war with Ukraine and makes oil companies rich(er). Will we tax companies profiting off consumers from Trump’s war? Only the rich benefit. $30m an hour: big oil reaping huge war windfall from consumers, analysis finds
