Thrilled at the news of #HanKang receiving the #NobelPrize in literature. Her work exploring some of the most painful chapters in Korea’s history have had a profound impact on readers around the world, myself included. One of my favorite Han Kang novels:

Keep reading. Every book you read helps you learn, helps you become a more thoughtful writer and develop your understanding of the written word. Time spent reading is very rarely wasted--you always find yourself learning something, even if you do not know it at the time.

The most important thing is to keep writing. It sounds obvious and super easy to do. But any writer knows it’s not. Between work, family obligations, rejections, and discouraging feedback, it's too easy to get pulled away from writing. Giving up is WAY easier than finishing.
