Me to yet another patient who has been on carbamazepine for years (prev followed by now retired PA and MD): “You should start a vit D and calcium supplement while on carbamazepine because long term use can cause osteoporosis” Pt: “No one ever told me that before!” Me: “....yeah”

Any other PAs/NPs out there tired of being SHAT on lol

This is why I always ask the patient “so who’d you bring with you today?” So I don’t make a grave mistake 😂

We need to normalize that our mental health affects our physical health...as well as that our physical health affects our mental health. We really need to stop treating these 2 things as independent silos. We need to normalize talking about it & not call those who do "soft"

What a difference a year makes

I have patients that see chiropractors. I tell them if it helps, great. If it doesn't, save your money. But I always caution against neck adjustments per the AHA recommendations bc of the association with stroke. Also no baby needs adjustments. Period. End of story.
