Why Bat.Lab.? We want to help activate underused parts of Govanhill. We asked local residents which areas need more care and what would be the best location for the market. Batson Street and nearby areas turned out to be one of the most popular choices.

We will be here on Saturday with our own little stall!

Nettle Cordage Workshop 24 September - 14 30-15 30 - Harvest Fair - Bat.Lab. Curious about nettles? Indre Simkute will be running a little nettle workshop where they will guide you through the process of making a versatile and very strong nettle cordage from scratch.

Clean Up at the Bat. Lab. this Friday! In preparation for the Harvest Fair this Saturday we will do litter picking. Join us if you have a moment! We will provide some litter pickers, bin bags and gloves. Bring your own if you have some! Let’s make it look good!

Govanhill Food Stories Community Zine Launch this Saturday! This zine documents the stories, drawings, favourite dishes and beloved recipes shared by local residents at the Govanhill Food Stories Community Market on the 13th of August 2022 at the Batson Street Laboratory.

Thank you to all the zine contributions, market participants, project partners and funders who made this possible! Special thanks to Glasgow Zine Library and 𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚊𝚙𝟶𝚛𝚝 for putting the zine together. Come along to the Harvest Fair at the Bat.Lab. from 12 - 4pm to grab a free copy!
