Very interested in team Hulbert taking their good filly Lady Of Five down to Melbourne, remember the early days of following Peter Hulbert and he wouldn't take them to town on a Saturday unless he believed they were a live chance. Not even sure if they have raced one in Melb?

Observer could be the very classy Derby winner we have lacked in Aus for a long time Caulf Guineas into Rosehill Guineas into possible open WFA start in Sydney looks ideal.

Pretty ordinary ASM again this year. I think set up looks perfect for Tom Kitten, just probably wanted $5.00 but I would have him on top. Think Sabaj can outrun its odds at $3.50 plc and that probably tells us what kind of race it is.

The racing from NZ today looks to be the best card I have seen for a for while. Stacked fields with some established horses, a few on the up and a possible superstar.

Travolta $3.00 Canberra Cup looks almost bet of the weekend. Have him about $2.30. Sam Hawkins 54kg off his euro form the concern but he has been bog average his 2 in AUS.

$4.20 Dubai Honour looks a great price Tancred, came through traffic and won this race easily last year and probably should have won the QE with any luck ( 3 wide no cover the trip to the turn the 4-5 wide from turn beaten less than 2L and closing)

Find the price difference interesting between the 2 x kiwi fillies in the Vinery. I have Belle Cheval body of work ratings wise stronger coming into their last runs, she runs Well Written to a whisker, Ohope Wins wins the oaks. Ohope now has to come back to 2000m.

Hate to be a killjoy but gee the Doncaster has fallen away this year. Only 16 acceptors and no real class runners at the head of the field. G3 winner Headingly Grange finds himself at near the pointy end of the weights. The 3yo's don't have much to beat.

Green Spaces was a dominant win but those talking it up as a Cups horse in a spring forget that the Derby is one of the worst ever form references for our spring majors and has been for many years.
