๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฒ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ง ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง - ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง Although the exterior of this house dates from a renovation of 1804, Pishey Thompson indicates that it may surround a medieval core.
๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฌ - We have a sale catalogue from the auction that took place at Fydell House in September 1902. Item 147 was a print entitled "The Fleet Provisioning at Sea". Other copies of this print still exist, so we can see what it was like.
๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ง๐๐ซ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ - ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐๐ National Terrace leads off Pump Square. Note the bricked up windows - the Window Tax was in force until 1851, so presumably this charming terrace was constructed before that date.
๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐๐ญ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ - ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ก Two-storeyed, the south porch is decorated below, Perpendicular above. Note the empty niches, which would have contained figures of saints. The chamber above the porch houses the Parish Library.
