Going on month five of trying to buy a co-op in NYC. We’re fortunate to be paying cash, and everyone told us the process would be quick without a mortgage. Nooope. Word to the wise: crappy condo>great co-op. Too far in now but this is a nightmare!

Tip: with the Euro almost par with USD + the great VAT refund - go shopping in Paris! Bought a YSL purse for approx $600+ off retail by doing so.😊 Also it was my first luxury shopping experience and it was lovely 💞. #funtimes

I’m 5 months pregnant with my first child and so far my local Buy Nothing group has been invaluable for baby stuff. Never mind buying used, people are giving away kid stuff for free constantly! Already have a stocked closet for baby boy and so thankful 🤰🏻💞

Advice for non-parents who plan on someday having kids: spend all of your time getting drunk at hip restaurants and bars, spending hours alone at a cafe, and traveling out of a backpack. These are things I can no longer do without a babysitter and I miss them so.
