I have been getting this question about writing a cold mail of how to send a cold mail so I’ll be dropping practical ways/tips on how you can send a cold mail. These are tips that have helped me and even landed me my first full time role as a virtual assistant. A thread 🧵

Step 1: Research Your Prospect (The Key to Personalization) Before you send anything, check them out. Find 1–2 personal or business-related things you can reference. Why? It shows you care and didn’t just copy/paste your pitch.

If you’re emailing, use a subject that’s short, relevant, and curiosity-driven. Examples: - “Quick question about [their company name]” •“Loved your recent post on [topic]—I had an idea” This will make them want to check out the body of the mail so your subject matters a lot

Lack of confidence is ruining your life. I didn’t apply cuz I thought I wasn’t good enough. I didn’t speak up cuz I feared sounding stupid. I let others go ahead because I thought they deserved it more. don’t let fear keep writing your story. Start believing.

I'm definitely going to start showing up more on X and LinkedIn from now on. I'm not a social media person, but I want to step out of my comfort zone and see where it lands me at the end of the year.
