A3: WCSD community represents Wappingers as a whole. I was born and raised in Wappingers, moved away and returned back again. The WCSD community becomes the connection to the citizens- our hard work plus their tax dollars. #edtechguys

Intro - hi everyone, I am Michele and I teach fourth grade math, science and social studies at Myers Corners. What a year!#edtechguys

A1 : staying connected is exactly that. It is keeping the connection between Learning and growing professionally. Some examples- collaborating with other teachers, taking advantage of PDs and growing as a teacher every day. #edtechguys

A2: A definite impact of staying connected with other professionals is advancing my skills and opening new doors for my students to learn. Hopefully that will lead to the benefits of additional salaries also. #edtechguys

A3: My response to that quote is “amen”! Sharing with like-minded people recharges my battery for teaching. One of the best aspects of teaching is collaborating with other teachers and sharing ideas and lessons. #edtechguys

A4: for myself, a PLN has to become an organized, educational cache that can be used as I gain experience in teaching. Every time I learn from PD or network with new people, that information becomes valuable part of my PLN. #Edtechguys

A5: I definitely believe PD like this is valuable to my PLN. It connects me with other teachers and we create a relationship during these Twitter chats. For organization, I will always favor google apps because of how well they sync together. #edtechguys

A6: I will be honest, this is my only social media I use to advance professional learning. For myself, I know I need to organize my goals before I try to use LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. for educational purposes. Otherwise I will go down the rabbit-hole of time wasted #edtechguys

A7: I really enjoyed reading the article (on the Wakelet) from ISTE about the 44 Ed Twitter Chats. I am going to research those chats. I really enjoy listening to podcasts because they too share valuable information. #edtechguys

A8: my tip for a colleague, and for myself, is to recharge while also expanding knowledge. Combine staying connected with an activity that is relaxing to you. Get together with other teachers and take a walk on the rail trail, stay connected through Twitter etc #edtechguys

A7: I am proud of Ss FORTITUDE! Changing schedules, rules, new ways of learning and still they showed up (remotely and in person). They didn’t give up and remained open to learning. This goes for my fellow teachers too. #edtechguys

A6: In a large and diverse school, I would definitely love to add more room and more substitute teachers. The student population needs continue to increase - especially after this difficult year. #edtechguys

A8: I like to be an example of a teammate for the parents as much as possible. This reminds (and encourages) them of the trust we should share together for the sake of the student. #edtechguys

A10: I was really proud of my American revolution unit. I combined interactive slides, timelines and personal knowledge. Ss were so engaged hearing of the real stories of heroes and battles and the long road to independence. #edtechguys

A11: I plan on applying knowledge learned from spring Math PD hosted by John Sammon @KoehlerTara Using data from pre-assessments to plan surface-deeper lessons. And organize my Google drive! #edtechguys
