When Ninja Turtles bad guys have a little time to themselves…

Picking up two indica strains on the way home. I'm dealing with some ongoing medical issues at the moment (nothing serious I hope) and weed is genuinely the only thing that makes me feel better. It completely vaporizes (pun intended) my discomfort.

Woke up at 5am to a massive panic attack. Good stuff. Couldn’t get back to sleep, so I’m up listening to D’Angelo and practicing breathing techniques.

#NowWatching Gladiator Underground (2025) Time to finally give this one a go. With the Martial Club boys behind the action, it should have some decent fight scenes.

I actually have a lot more thoughts on this, so I’ll be posting a video review up on my YouTube channel tomorrow. We can’t keep accepting films like this as “decent.” We’re lowering the bar for ourselves. We need to demand better action, and, when possible, better film making.

On my way to watch “A Better Tomorrow” on the big screen and my train’s broken down. I’m not going to make it. Fucking LIVID.

I watched “Play Dirty” last night and I’m surprised this one didn’t get talked about more. I thought it was great. Black’s usual razor sharp script punctuated by mean-as-fuck action beats. It was a good time.

#NowWatching Men from the Monastery (1974) Finally cracking open the recent Chang Cheh set from Eureka. Alexand Fu Sheng charisma, Tong Kai and Lau Kar Leung on the action, and a truly bonkers supporting cast.

New week, new music! And I'm happy to say I'm starting my week with Elaquent™ // エラクエント™'s House EP, 'Excursion.' I've always loved the House sound but have never really dived into the genre all this much.

Got rear ended on the way to work this morning (my wife was driving). Great start to the week. The driver didn't look a day over 19. He was driving his mum's car and looked terrified. I ended up feeling bad for him.

Second album of the day is Planet Asia and DJ Scratch's latest one, 'Kings Dominion.' Planet Asia has been one of the most consistently dope emcees for years now. Even if I do get him confused with Phil Da Agnony for some reason.

Ka might be one the best artists I've discovered this year. Now listening to his 'Woeful Studies' LP, a first time listen for me. Dude's a true poet. I wish I'd followed his career while he was alive. I feel so late to the party.

Next up is Kota the Friend's 'FOTO' LP. I've honestly never heard of this guy buy my dude Questly Snipes gave me a recommendation and I respect his hip hop taste a lot (not to mention his taste in shoes). Shoutout to him.

Jaycee Chan with the Michael Jackson glove his dad, Jackie Chan, bought him to celebrate his album getting released. Jackie - a notable Michael Jackson super fan - bought it at auction for $250,000. The Jackson estate sent Jackie genuine Michael artwork in return.

Today’s #physicalmedia pickup is the 5-disc (I think) 4K UHD release of ‘Shin Godzilla.’ This one’s a blind buy for me.
