Council tax is about to go up 10%. For 24/25 police officers got 4.75% payrise after a decade of below inflation increases. We are now so far below where we should be the government will never give us a big enough payrise to redress the balance or to attract the right people.

Operational base levels are routinely not being met, according to the survey, with 61% saying they are rarely met, and 18% saying never. Only 5% of respondents said they always get uninterrupted rest days. 21% said this happens rarely. 1919magazine.co.uk/march2025/scot…

State of policing in Scotland. Less than 5 years service-quitting. 5-20 transferring to Australia or becoming train drivers. 20-30 years trapped by pension, hate everything about PS, retiring as soon as they can.

The polite way of saying if every other agency dealt with what they trained to do, life would be a lot better for cops to actually do cop sh1t!

Before the The SNP & Police Scotland ā€˜s Chief Constable begin the media spin on affordability/budgets of giving police officers a payrise remember they have saved Ā£2bn since the inception of PS.

ScotsPolFed If the Met and other forces can say no to mental health calls, so should Police Scotland. ā€œKeeping people safeā€ needs redefining—safe from crime, not becoming the default for every mental health crisis. We’re not a substitute for a broken system.

TheScottishSquirtle ScotsPolFed šŸ‘†šŸ’Æ if you will never be frontline again & your office job does not require warranted powers you’re no longer a police officer. You’re an overpaid civilian. It’s time to tackle this head on. It won’t be pretty but we can’t sustain this bullshit.

The main rule of serving a roast dinner is there should be absolutely no clear space on the plate. If you can see plate, something’s gone wrong.

So let me get this right. I’ll get a 3.5% payrise this year, after a decade of below inflation payrises, whilst those who don’t work on benefits get a 6.2% increase?

You won't see fuel costs at the forecourts drop as quickly as they rose though, I'll guarantee that!! BBC News - Oil prices plunge and shares jump on US-Iran ceasefire plan - BBC News bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

That'll be the overtime that's getting cut by circa 20% to plug funding gaps elsewhere. Place is a shambles right now.
