“You give yourself a raise for $2400 for your living expenses, but you take $200 away from people on AISH.” At tonight's town hall, Danielle Smith was criticized for her current responsibilities as Premier on a few issues. #ableg

Jakob Moffitt She likes to throw in that strawman argument about Alberta's benefits being higher than other provinces, BUT IT'S STILL BELOW THE POVERTY LINE AND IT'S SHAMEFUL THAT THEY'D CLAW BACK A $200 DISABILITY BENEFIT THAT DOESN'T RAISE ANYONE ABOVE THE POVERTY LINE EITHER.

Jakob Moffitt UCP take $200.00 from AISH recipients what would they take from seniors CPP ? BEWARE ! UCP also increasing seniors co-pay for medication and now not paying for seniors eye exams. UCP can't be trusted. We still don't have answers on about 1 Billion in Healthcare ?

UCP gave their MLAs a housing allowance raise (in addition to their salary, per diem, gas, etc.). They used to get $1,900. They justified it, housing is expensive. Got it. UCP are telling severely disabled AISH recipients the $1,901 they get is generous enough. #alberta

Jakob Moffitt People on AISH do not have the option of taking a second job or making more $$. $200 makes all the difference to somebody who has little mobility and is living in pain.

After Danielle Smith’s first two Alberta Next events, it’s clear the tour is an exercise in political persuasion, not a serious effort at public consultation. Essentially, it’s an elaborate advertisement for the UCP’s platform. As such, the UCP should pay for it, not taxpayers.

Danielle is the worst premier in Alberta's history. Worst government in Alberta's history. #DanielleSmithIsUnfitToLead #ableg #UCPgrift #NeverVoteConservative #Alberta Say #NoToCoal UCP destroying public education, public health care, and the environment.

I know a lot about managing natural disasters and emergencies. The number one rule is to take politics out of it and let the experts focus on keeping people and property safe. theglobeandmail.com/canada/alberta…

The fact that propagandist videos are part of these town hall meetings shows: a) how little interest DSmith and UCP have in hearing from citizens; and b) how little she trusts her ministers to speak well off the cuff. She gets shirty when the audience makes critical noises.

Imagine how the town of Jasper municipal council must feel. They’re still trying to recover from a devastating fire, now they have to deal with a thin-skinned bully in the Premier’s office. Smith’s demand for an apology is an abuse of her office. cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

Photo from UCP's recent Red Deer roadshow. UCP members got tickets in the on-going effort to keep out adversaries. To Smith's right, legit economist Dr. Trevor Tombe. I assume he's playing ball so they doesn't beat the bushes and find the Bobby Jr. of economics.

The reason UCP wants economist Dr. Trevor Tombe for their town-hall road shows is quite obvious. "Jeopardy" wouldn't have been a hit TV show if none of the contestants knew the answers.

Alberta’s Heritage Fund should be $1 trillion. The Alberta governments dropped taxes so low there was nothing left for the Heritage Fund It also appears there is not enough for healthcare of education either.
