The new Centre builds on the expertise of the two programmes. ✅ It will maintain all the current activities while broadening its focus beyond competition policy & regulation in the media sector; The 4⃣ core areas will be competition, regulation, innovation & democracy.

The new core area of #Democracy analyses the role of digitalisation in the evolution of civic participation, good governance and fundamental rights. To develop the activities in this area, we find common ground & a great opportunity for collaboration with Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom.
