Despite what you see here on Twitter and all the hype, GPT-5 is not being trained right now, nor will it be for some time. GPT-4 took 6 months post training to ensure a safe and aligned model. This is likely to increase for future models. TLDR; focus on GPT-4!

There are limits on the speed at which copper wires can move data between computers, and a transition to light speed will ultimately drive AI and high-performance computing forward. A Google #AI #supercomputer shows the potential of optical interconnects. tinyurl.com/46699u92

A phase transition in out-of-equilibrium dynamics can occur with a rather simple mechanism: a small change in a parameter can force the system to explore completely different configurations during the relaxation process go.aps.org/3BDdxWv

nature.com/articles/s4159…

Rep. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Our paper with Yoshihiko Hasegawa is out in Phys. Rev. E. We show quantum computers as unique testbeds for thermodynamic trade-offs, validating and saturating a general quantum thermodynamic uncertainty relation (a cost-precision bound) for the first time. link.aps.org/doi/10.1103/9x…

Our paper with Yoshihiko Hasegawa is now on arXiv. Cloud quantum computers are black boxes to users. Using quantum speed limits, we estimate the mean/var of the real gate Hamiltonians. The estimate 10^-27J agrees well with the literature. arxiv.org/abs/2512.15472
