After turkey, fancy dips, and foods from around the world for a week, all I wanted for dinner tonight was buttermilk pancakes. But, the only dairy item in the fridge was eggnog. Hmmmmm. Turns out eggnog makes awesome pancakes! End of holiday save. 😊

My recent Covid testing moment (negative) turned a worry into a smile thanks to my slightly fuzzy ID. The testing tech asked me to verify my age of 40. After I stopped laughing & confirmed 70, she pointed out how fuzzy it was. The brief return to youth was awesome. 💃

Seems to be a glitch in accessing Picard. Tried to get start of 2nd season, but clicking on Picard only pulls up the Ready Room. #ParamountPlus

I always feel like an intruder in my own home when the technician outside is having a personal conversation that wafts inside like an old daytime soap opera.

I love binge watching to distract from real life, but costume quirks comically distract me. I’m in season six of “Murdoch Mysterious” and that beautiful blue dress with a bodice of embroidered flowers has been worn by at least 1 murder victim & 5 background actors. Murdoch Mysteries

Just opened an app to figure out food for supper and was zapped with an ad declaring “Outdoor dining season is here!” The copy writer has obviously NEVER been to south Louisiana in July, August, September and frequently October.

Well, summer plans went south and fall semester is 2 1/2 weeks away. Happily, all that forced “rest” lead me to Murdoch Mysteries Mysteries and Still Standing. Dang, I love Canadian TV!! Jonny Harris (both shows) & Yannick Bisson (Murdoch) are Canadian treasures. Thanks, fellows!

Check-out clerk: “Did you see the dog that just came in?” I thought she meant a toy dog in a bag and turned around to face the largest Great Dane I have ever seen. If average height is near 3 feet, this one was a few inches taller. Well behaved with what looked like a smile.
